  • 11:30 p.m. – EMS Plan 1 has been called to Fullerton/Lake Shore Drive
  • 11:00 p.m. – ISP reports 60 miles of I-80 closed
  • 10:45 p.m. – Fire/Police Command Center being setup at Fullerton/Lake Shore Drive
  • 9:55 p.m. – Cook County jail reports power problems
  • 9:45 p.m. – WCHI mobile crew reports roads are becoming dangerous
  • 9:20 p.m. – WCHI mobile crew reports that Navy Pier is in a complete white-out
  • 8:55 p.m. – Police report that people are abandoned their vehicles on Lake Shore Drive
  • 8:30 p.m. – Lighting and thunder have been reported in the Chicagoland area
  • 8:22 p.m. – Many CTA buses have pulled over in the loop and are no longer running

  • 2:15 p.m. – 200 block of ¬†West Monroe – Window reported dangling from window frame. Franklin at Monroe shut down, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.
