Small fire disrupts blue line

A small fire in the Blue Line subway tunnel caused delays Sunday afternoon.

Preliminary reports indicated that that a train operator saw smoldering debris in a subway tunnel near the O’Hare terminal, said CTA spokeswomen Catherine Hosinski.

CTA personal were able to put out the fire and the Chicago Fire Department was only called as a precautionary measure, according to Hosinski.

Chicago Fire Media Affaris spokesman Quention Curtis said there was no fire found when fire department personal arrived on scene.
