Skating in the Sky…

CHICAGO — Advance tickets are on sale now online for the world’s highest skating rink at John Hancock Tower in Chicago, Illinois. John Hancock observatory skating rink is one of the most anticipated skating rinks of 2011. It opens to the public January 1,2011 and closes at the end of March.

The “ice” rink will be held on the 94th floor, which is 1,000 ft up from the Hancock. There you will find amazing 360-degree views, Chicago’s magnificent mile and views of four other states. The rink will hold 25-minute skating sessions, which will be $5 plus standard fees. Skaters are allowed to bring their own skates. No worries, if you don’t have your own pair of skates you will be able to rent from the observatory for just $1.

Coaches and special guests will be available on the ice as well to offer skating tips at no charge.

The rink will be open from 9am-11pm every day.
