School bus crash sends 9 to area hospitals

Nine students were taken to area hospitals Thursday morning after two school buses and truck crashed this morning on the South Side, according to officials.

The Chicago Fire and Police departments were called to 76th and Ashland just after 7 a.m., said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

Five people where taken to Holy Cross Hospital, two to St. Bernard Hospital and two to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Richard Rosado. All of students were transported in good to fair condition.
