Osama Bin Laden Killed

President Obama addressed the nation Sunday night telling the accounts of U.S. Navy Seals killing Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Obama said that he has been talking with his officials for the last year about the tips they were receiving of bin Laden’s whereabouts.

“The death of bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s effort to defeat Al Qaeda,” Said Barak Obama while speaking to the nation live Sunday night.

Osama bin Laden supposevitly has been living in a 1 million dollar compound in the once remote town Abbottabad, Pakistan.  Obama made the call to take out the most wanted fugitive with out talking with Pakistani leaders but did let them in after the operation was complete.

“At my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan,” Obama said. “A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.”

A courrier was traced to the compound linking bin Laden to the mansion that was protected by 18 foot walls leading much to believe there was a high value target at the property.

Osama bin Laden was shot in the head through his left eye leading to his death.  It took U.S. soldiers 4o minutes to complete the operation. Bin Laden’s body was confirmed through a DNA test and then buried at sea.

The DNA evidence was released and the results said that there was 99% match to Osama bin Laden. The corpse was taken to the USS Carl Vincent and buried at sea, the burial was done in accordance to strict Muslim Law, hoping to not enrage the Muslim world.

There is a photo but it has not been determined if it will be released or not. Some want the photo released for proof, but others say they are not sure about letting this picture out.

“Today`s achievement is a testament to the greatness of our country and the determination of the American people… Tonight we are once again reminded that America can do whatever we set our mind to…Let us remember that we can do these things not just because of wealth or power, but because of who we are: one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” President Obama said.
