Notre Dame @ Oklahoma

Notre Dame prepares for a raucous crowd that will be expecting big things. Landry Jones, Kenny Stills and the OU Defense pose serious matchup problems on both sides of the ball for an Irish team that with a win can start to envision a title game.  Expect OU to throw the ball about 40-50 times in the game given Notre Dame’s exceptional run defense.  If the ends can pressure Jones into bad throws and the running game can amass a 200-yard game, then there is reason to think this game can go in favor of the Irish.  But that is asking a lot from a team that has survived by the skid of their teeth the last couple weeks.  And momentum is clearly with the Sooners whose offensive is hitting its stride before its biggest game so far this season.
