Not so fast: Emanuel back in the Race

The major candidates in the race for Chicago mayor campaigned Friday as the race turned the main focus back to city issues now that the residency challenge of Rahm Emanuel have been settled.

The Illinois Supreme court reinstated Emanuel on the ballot Thursday.

On Friday, Emanuel was at Chicago’s gay community center where leaders have started a committee to back his bid, speaking about what services he would like to see covered if the sales tax rate was cut but the base expanded.

Attacking the “Rahm tax” opponent Gery Chico campaigned at a South Side barber shop.

Miguel del Valle, City Clerk,  greeted voters at a deli, which happens to be a popular spot with politicians.
