Metra Resumes Full Service on Friday

The Metra train schedule will resume its normal schedule on Friday.

Metra has recovered from Chicago’s blizzard 2011 and passengers can now get back to work on the train.

“Our goal is to have full service restored by tomorrow,” Metra spokeswoman Judy Pardonnet said.

During the city’s snowstorm, the train service experienced long delays and problems with equipment due to frigid temperatures.

Today, only four of the 11 Metra lines are in operation. All lines are expected to be fully restored and available for passenger use on Friday.

Commuters are encouraged to register for email alerts if they have not already done so on the Metra website at Alerts and updates will be sent via email for train service and schedule information.
