Jody Weis joining Chicago Crime Commission

Chicago- Former Police Superintendent Jody Weis will be joining the Chicago Crime Commission.
Weis will be the group’s deputy director.

The organization is a non-profit, and consists of civic and business leaders who are committed to improving the quality of public safety and justice.

In 2008, Weis became the Chicago Police Department Superintendent, and stepped down earlier this year when his contract ended.

He had a rocky administration as many of the rank-and-file police officers didn’t like the fact he came from the FBI and was not a police officer himself.
