Indiana Can’t Keep Pace

You will see a lot of smiling faces in Chicago Saturday and they will stay there until some one can figure out a way to beat the Bulls in the playoffs.

All of Chicago could not believe what they were watching.  The No. 8 Pacers taking it to their team through the whole game.  The Bulls did not have a lead until the final minutes of the 4th quarter.

The Pacers held the lead at 95-88 with only four minutes left to play.  From that point until the final buzzer Chicago held Indiana to only 4 points and scored 16 for themselves. Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah got the crowd back in the game at the end when Rose hooked up with Noah who put down a dunk that could be felt in Indiana.

Rose followed that up with an “and one” drive to the hoop cutting the lead to 2 with a minute fifty left, the Pacers would miss their shot to answer.  Rose would do it again hitting a jump shot tying it up at 99 a piece.

It was Kyle Korver’s turn after that, Indiana’s Darren Collison trying to get back the lead gets denied by Korver making the block and getting a pass to his point guard.  Rose would then get it back to Korver who then puts down a tie-breaking three pointer.  99 points was all the Bulls would give up in the game making it Indiana’s final tally.

Rose would put two more free throws in to put the final nails into the Pacers.  Rose scored a career playoff high with 39 points,  Noah and Deng both had double-doubles(points and rebounds), and Korver was lights out from behind the perimeter going 4-4 adding 13 for Chicago.

These two teams still have six games left to determine who will go onto the next round.  They will meet up again Monday in Chicago at 8:30pm, after that they will make the nice short trip to Indiana were they will probably still see a lot of red for their Thursday night game.
