High School Freshman Charged For CTA Robberies

Talk about teenage rebellion.

15-year-old Tyshun Jones has been officially charged for numerous robberies that have occurred on CTA’s Pink Line.

Jones is a freshman at Bradwell Math, Science and Technology Academy, and has been on juvenile court supervision since February for theft.

The Pink Line robberies occurred on four separate occasions within the past two weeks at the stops on Kostner and California Avenues on the Southwest Side.

Jones robbed all four of his victims at gunpoint, telling one in particular, “I’m giving you your life, [expletive],” after demanding the victim’s valuables.

Circuit Court Judge Ramon Ocasio III is charging Jones as an adult and has set his bond at $1 million.
