Hawks Tame Bulls And Tie Series At 2-2

After a big win for the Bulls in Chicago Friday, Atlanta evens things up with their victory Sunday getting the series tied at two a piece.

Derrick Rose didnt have the same look Sunday just coming off of a career playoff high of 44 points in Friday’s match, but still managed to score 34 shooting under 40%.  Chicago struggled on hitting their threes, Kyle Korver missed all 5 of his attempts and Luol Deng made 1 out of his 6 attempts.

‘‘We know we didn’t play very well,’’ Noah said. ‘‘We have to do a better job of helping each other out. We have to do a better job with our second and third efforts.’’

Atlanta’s Joe Johnson had a bad game three but stepped up his play in the fourth, he put up 24 for the Hawks and dished out 5 assists.  Josh Smith improved his game contributing with 16 rebounds and 23 points helping Atlanta win the fourth game of the series 100-88.

Chicago out rebounded Atlanta by one and tied on turnovers at 13, they shot very poorly from beyond the perimeter only connecting on three of 16 attempts.  Rose didnt give the ball over until the final quarter coughing it up three times in the final six minutes where Atlanta went on a 16-4 run closing the game out at 100-88.

“It was too easy,”Bull’s Coach Tom Thibodeau said. “Then we didn’t finish the game the way we would have liked.”

The sereis will come back to Chicago Tuesday where the Bulls will try and close out their second round match up against the Hawks.  Game six will then go back into Atlanta Thursday night, if there is a need for a game seven that will be played in Chicago on Sunday.

If Chicago can make it past Atlanta they will either face Boston or Miami.  The Heat are beating the Celtics in their series 2-1, they will play again Monday night.  The Bulls either way will have their hands full but also have some other buisness to take care of before thinking about anything else.
