Go Facebook, It’s Your Birthday

The social network that has made its way into millions of lives around the globe, turned 7 years old today.

When Mark Zuckerberg and his Harvard buds gave birth to this social utility back into 2004, they had no idea it would blossom into such a fine, young online phenomenon, with a possible multi-billion dollar worth that surpasses that of Twitter and MySpace.

Not even a decade old, it is one of the most trafficked sites in the world, according to the Facebook’s fact sheet. Despite several large offers to make the social site public, it still remains a private entity and is not required to report revenue and losses among other things. However with such rapid growth Facebook may be forced to do so by next spring, according to market experts.

Since it’s debut Facebook continues to expand its features and network, to help friends, families, coworkers and a long list of others get in touch and stay in touch.

Age 7 in 2011, “7-11″….wonder if the founders are feeling lucky?
