Extra alarm blaze breaks out in the Loop

A two-alarm fire in a high rise building in the loop prompting a full building evacuation has now been extinguished.

Around 1:45 p.m., a fire broke out on the first floor of the 25-story building at 33 N. Dearborn, said Chicago Fire Media Commander Will Knight.

There were two people transported to Northwestern Hospital for minor injuries.

Knight reports that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
