Champions League Quarterfinals

This morning the Champions League and Europa League had their draws held for the quarterfinal match-ups. The Round of 16 ended with a bang on Wednesday as Bayern Munich had to come back from a two goal deficit against Juventus in the second half in order to extend their continental campaign. The men from Munich did see themselves through to the next round but it took an extra 30 minutes of stoppage time where they imposed their will on the Italians scoring twice in the final 15 minute frame.

The round of eight matches start on April 5th-6th and will see the back end of the home-and-home series’ played the following week, with the higher seeded teams closing out at home on the 12th and 13th. The final will be in Milan this year on May 28th at San Siro Stadium which is home to two top flight teams in the Seri A, Inter and A.C. Milan. The stadium seats more than 81,000 people, first opening in 1926.
