Bulls Bouncing Back

The Chicago Bulls are rebounding in a nice way after a shaky start to the promising season and have now run their win streak to five games. The Bulls started the season at 1-3, but are now 6-3. Last night Chicago played poorly to beat the lowly Bobcats at the UC 86-81 behind a strong performance from Luol Deng who led all scorers in the game with 21 points and 8 rebounds. It’s very important for Chicago to have rebounded like they have because starting on Thursday they’ll embark on their longest road trip of the season which will see them face six different teams in nine days.

Chicago may be finding their way, but it shouldn’t take this long.  They should’ve come out of the blocks fast, but they’re starting to live up to some of the expectations that they’re one of the stronger teams in the Eastern Conference.  Whatever that means. With the Bulls currently at 6-3, they trail Indiana by 2-1/2 games in the Central Division while being third overall in the conference. Indiana’s tied for the best record in the NBA at 9-1, with that one loss coming by way of the Bulls three days ago at home.

The Bulls will truly show what they’re made of when this road trip kicks off as there are some very tricky games early with Denver and the Clippers. Chicago has been playing well of late, but anything other than a 4-2 trip would be seen as a disappointment.
