Bears love Lovie

The Bears and coach Lovie Smith agreed to a two-year contract extension that will keep smith as the head coach of the Bears through the 2013 season the Bears announced Friday.
In a recent Chicago Tribune article, Smith said that the Bears have a lot of work to do if they want to keep up with the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers.
Smith said “We realize we have the Super Bowl champs in our division and we’re looking up to them.”
Smith also discussed his recently extended contract. “I feel very comfortable having three years on my contract… That’s plenty of time. Feel comfortable having all of us being connected together as far as the e length of our contracts. Excited. That’s exactly what I wanted.”
Smith helped lead the Bears to a 11-5 season record and the NFC North title this past season, which ended abruptly with an injured Jay Cutler and a loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC title game.
