Alderman Candidate Arrested At Polls

Hal Baskin, a candidate running for alderman, was arrested and charged with assault today while at designated polling place Nicholson Math & Science Elementary School.

A 911 call was placed at 3:30 p.m. reporting a disturbance.

According to Chicago Board of Elections Chairman Langdon Neal, Baskin was arrested “for alleged intimidation of an election judge”.

Baskin is running for alderman in the 16th Ward of the South Side against incumbent Alderman JoAnn Thompson.
