Police car accident sends 5 to area hospitals

Fire and police officials were called to a police-invovled accident on Chicago’s West Side late Wednesday evening, according to authorities.

An EMS Plan 1, which sends five ambulacnes to the scene, was called to the 4400 block of West Wilcox, said Chicago Fire spokesman Will Knight.

Two people were taken in critical-to-serious condition to Cook County Hospital, one person in critical-to-serious condition was taken to Mt. Sanai Hospital, and 2 in fair-to-good condition were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, said Knight.
